Where is the Mérida Airport FBO?

The private terminal is located within Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport (MID) in Mérida, Yucatán. . It is located on the west side of the airport property near the cargo facilities, with the main entrance accessed via the Carretera Mérida – Uman.

The airport is located approximately 8 km (5 miles) southwest of Mérida’s historic city centre, making it one of the most conveniently located international airports in southeastern Mexico.

Private charter passengers check in directly at the dedicated General Aviation Terminal (FBO) rather than the commercial terminal.

How Do I Get to the Private Terminal?

The FBO is separate from the commercial passenger terminal.

Before your flight, we recommend to set up your taxi or private transfer.

You can arrive by:

What Are Their Opening Hours?

The private terminal operates during airport operating hours.

Flights Holbox schedules private charter flights during daylight hours, generally between:

7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Flight times may vary depending on daylight and weather conditions.

Weather Conditions

Weather conditions in the Yucatán Peninsula can change quickly.

We recommend contacting Flights Holbox one day before your scheduled flight to confirm the latest weather conditions.

If weather conditions are not safe for flying, we will do our best to arrange a private ground transfer. If we must cancel your flight due to adverse weather, your deposit will be refunded in full.

Time Zone Information

Please note that Mérida (Yucatán) is in a different time zone than destinations in Quintana Roo, including Holbox, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, and Tulum.

Quintana Roo operates one hour ahead of Yucatán year-round.

When booking your private flight, please double-check your departure time and ensure your watch, phone, or other devices are set to the correct local time to avoid missing your flight.

Example:

• Mérida: 10:00 AM
• Cancun / Holbox / Tulum / Playa del Carmen / Cozumel: 11:00 AM

This is especially important when connecting with commercial flights or arranging airport transfers.

Is there an Airport Fee?

Passengers departing on domestic private charter flights from Mérida International Airport (MID) are required to pay an Airport Use Fee (TUA) of  around MXN $200 per passenger. This fee is payable at the airport before departure and is not included in the charter price.
